Why Volunteer
Volunteering at the NH Monarch Festival is a rewarding way to give back to your community while spending a beautiful summer day surrounded by nature, monarchs, and like-minded people.
Get up close with monarch butterflies, milkweed, and conservation experts. It's a hands-on experience unlike any other.
Help create a memorable experience for hundreds of families, children, and nature lovers across New Hampshire.
Every volunteer hour directly supports monarch conservation and helps raise awareness for one of nature's most remarkable migrations.
Open Positions
We have a few specific roles available, as well as opportunities for general helpers. All volunteers are asked to be available for the full festival day.
Arrive at 7am to help set up tents, tables, signage, photo backdrops, activity stations, and other as-needed tasks before the festival opens. Stay until everything is set up. Arrive at 5pm to assist with breakdown and cleanup. Stay until done. This is a physically active role and will require lifting some heavy objects.
Assist at one of the festival's educational science stations or provide vendor help as needed. May need to help attendees with traffic and parking. This role is for the duration of the festival (10 AM to 5 PM).
Help facilitate hands-on activities designed for children of all ages: work with children in the crafts tent, assist families with photos, or lead and referee games. A love of working with kids and patient, enthusiastic attitude are a must! This role is for the duration of the festival (10 AM to 5 PM).
Not sure which role fits you best? No problem! General volunteers help wherever they're needed most on the event date and fill any of the roles mentioned. Flexibility and a positive attitude are required. This role is for the duration of the festival (10 AM to 5PM).
