Why Volunteer
Volunteering at the NH Monarch Festival is a rewarding way to give back to your community while spending a beautiful summer day surrounded by nature, monarchs, and like-minded people.
Get up close with monarch butterflies, milkweed, and conservation experts. It's a hands-on experience unlike any other.
Help create a memorable experience for hundreds of families, children, and nature lovers across New Hampshire.
Every volunteer hour directly supports monarch conservation and helps raise awareness for one of nature's most remarkable migrations.
Open Positions
We have a few specific roles available, as well as opportunities for general helpers. All volunteers are asked to be available for the full festival day.
Arrive early to help set up tents, tables, signage, and activity stations before the festival opens. Stay after 5pm to assist with breakdown and cleanup. This is a physically active role — perfect for those who love to dig in and get things done!
Assist at one of the festival's educational or activity booths. You'll help guide visitors, answer questions, and keep things running smoothly. Some knowledge of monarchs or conservation is helpful but not required — we'll prepare you!
Help facilitate hands-on activities designed for children, including crafts, games, and educational demos. A love of working with kids and a patient, enthusiastic attitude are a must. This is one of the most fun and rewarding roles at the festival!
Not sure which role fits you best? No problem! General volunteers help wherever they're needed most on the day of the festival — from directing guests and answering questions to restocking supplies and supporting vendors. If you're enthusiastic, flexible, and ready to pitch in, this is the role for you.
